Rainbows from God

Twice, when I doubted, God showed me twin rainbows in the sky to remind me that He keeps His promises...I want to remember how much I have been blessed with...

Psalm 46:10

Think I've finally 'recovered' from the seemingly perpetual fatigue I was feeling in the months before we left for Shanghai. I wonder if I had been over-occupied back in Singapore...

Well, at least up until now while we are here, I don't have to rush to prepare Faith for school every morning...

Having found a good helper who comes in three days a week keeps my mind off chores and mess around the house...

Maybe I've finally found some peace in my mind to be a bit quiet and worry less...especially now that everyone's eating well and the girls are laughing again. :) I'm even looking forward to Baby Humility's cheeky grin, haha...

I think it's time for me to try for a bit more still-ness so I can hear God again...

Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.

你們要休息,要知道我是神!我必在外邦中被尊崇,在遍地上也被尊崇。

ER

We seem to have some 'affinity' with Emergency Rooms this year -- and all with what goes into the mouth.

Here we go again...this time in Shanghai, for rota virus -- and it costs a BOMB! RMB10K for both KH and Faith. Spent 5-6 hours at the ER of Shanghai United Family Hospital where KH was given 5 packs of drips and repeated tests.

What we experienced: when one is sick in a foreign land -- forget about comparing prices; or trying to google for translation; WORSE~ trying to sign! Save yourselves further ordeal; being sick is bad enough. Unless you really, really cannot afford it (I mean REALLY!) -- getting medical help from someone who comprehends you COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE! Especially if you have multiple drug allergies like me.

Settling Down

Wow...15 days since we arrived in Shanghai! How does time fly?! And we managed to move out of Sun Island much earlier than we were expecting. Now that we've moved into the new apartment, hopefully we can help the children adjust to Shanghai easier with a new home environment.

Yesterday was the best day we had, I think -- at least for Faith and I. We're usually open to a wide variety of food culture; but it seems Faith's and my appetite have been decreasing recently. No, no -- food here is good and in abundance; no lack of choice either -- I'm not sure if it's because we're down with a bit of cold; or is it due to fatigue (we've been running around a lot since we arrived and the weather as well as travelling time is a change for us -- Sun Island is far~)

We went to McDonald's for lunch as I've promised Faith in the morning. Had coffee and cakes at Starbucks for tea-break; and dinner at Ikea! Heheheheh...funny? Such simple bliss. :)
